BREAKFAST CASEROLE
#2  THE RECIPE  - (breakfast casserole)  The United Methodist women in my area always made this for years so I called
it the recipe.
Butter a 9x13 pan (as in the other recipe you can reduce this down or make it a little bigger.) I think the pan I used was
an 11 x14.  I found that a glass pan works a little better but metal is just fine.
  In a separate bowl mix
8 eggs
aprox 2 cups grated cheese of your choice any will do cheddar, Swiss, Colby, pepperjack whatever is in the fridge

some garlic & onion raw
bacon or sausage or ham- what ever you have -you don't have to use meat at all
2cups of 1/2 & 1/2, or cream, or milk or any combo of these

Mix this all up and then add 8 or so slices of bread -- the cheaper the better - can use stale.
I cut the crusts off.

Pour the egg and bread mixture in the buttered pan and let set at least 5-6 hrs or overnight in the fridge. Overnight is
best, it's just to let the bread soak up the liquid.       Bake at 325o for about 30-35 minutes till the center is set.  It will puff
up but collapse when it comes out.
