You have two wires because one
is the "parking" lights and one is
the "brake" lights. The (-V) you
speak of is actually the trailer skin
and frame. The (-V) part of the
light assy is the metal case or
mounting bracket. The (-V) is
picked up from the aluminum skin
through the light assy. The skin
should be grounded to the frame
with a strap or two and you
should make the (-V) connection
to the plug off of the frame. So,
the (-V) circuit starts at the
outside metal part of the bulb,
through the mounting bracket to
the skin, through the strap to the
frame, and off to the plug and the
tow vehicle. The bulb will have two
filaments in it. The heavier, beefier
filament is the brake light and will
also be brighter. You should be
able get it hooked up to the right
wires for marker lights and the
brake lights just by trail and error.
Hope this explains it a little better.
